It’s a dry subject
As we continue in our commitment to a sustainable future, one improvement we have implemented as part of our ISO14001 Environmental certification is installing a tank which collects rain water off our printery roof. We are able to expand the number of tanks as the company grows and the system is designed to switch to Yarra Valley Water if the level of water in the tank gets too low.
Our production now runs totally on tank water, our water consumption was greatly reduced in 2006 when we installed a water recycling unit in pre-press, making an annual saving of over 200,000 litres of water per year.
The rainwater collected is estimated to make us self sufficient.
